Vista, Calif. firefighters responded to reports of a vehicle rescue on Buena Creek Rd. in the unincorporated area of Vista.
Upon arrival they found a head-on collision with both vehicles sustaining major damage. Lone occupants of both vehicles were trapped and in need of extrication.
A seven month pregnant female in one of vehicles sustained moderate injuries.
The male victim who crossed into her lane sustained major injuries to his lower extremities as well as head and chest trauma. He as transported via Mercy Air to Palomar Hospital in serious condition. CHP is handling the investigation.
