N.Y. Crews Go Defensive on Vacant Building Fire

A second alarm was called and companies employed a defensive attack using aerial ladders and hoselines to bring the fire under control.

A multiple alarm fire damaged a two-story building in Rochester on Aug. 19.

Engine 2 arrived on Remington Street to fine heavy fire showing from the second floor of the reported vacant building. 

A second alarm was called and companies employed a defensive attack using aerial ladders and hoselines to bring the fire under control. 

About 10 companies responded to the fire scene.
