Five people were injured, including a woman who had to jump from a second floor window, as flames swept through a Detroit home on Dec. 11.

Engines 56 and 44, Ladder 18, Squad 3 and Battalion Chief 9 were dispatched at 10;45 p.m. Medics 15 and 6 and Supervisor 1104 were also alerted when a caller reported burns injuries.

On arrival, Engine 56 reported that they were doing a fast attack on a two-story home. A third medic unit was requested.

In total, four children were transported from the scene, along with their grandmother, who jumped to escape the fire. Two of the children suffered serious burns and two suffered smoke inhalation
