Photo Story: Three Crashes Keep Fla. Crews Busy

Ocala crews were busy with three vehicle accident calls in less than 30 minutes on Nov. 5.

Ocala Fire Rescue, Marion County Fire Rescue and the Ocala Police Department responded to a three-vehicle accident at 11:33 a.m. in the 1700 block of SE 17th Street.

Two pickup trucks and a sedan collided, leaving the driver of the sedan trapped in his seat.

While medics assessed the individuals involved and prepared the sedans’ driver for transport, a second accident developed nearby.

At 11:43 a.m. reports of a pickup truck and sedan collision were received a result of traffic accumulating from the first crash. It was only a minor fender bender with no injuries.

While crews were assessing that crash, two compact SUV’s met in a head-on collision in the 2200 block of SE 17th St.

At 11:55, additional units were dispatched to the crash site where one of the drivers had to be extricated and transported to the hospital.
