Photo Story: Texas Crews Douse Fire

The fire started in the rear of the one-story home and Fort Worth crews had the fire knocked in 10 minutes.

Fort Worth firefighters battled their second dwelling fire of the day, shortly after 1 p.m. on March 17.

Crews were called for smoke coming from a dwelling in the area of 1800 Water Street and Engine reported heavy smoke from a one-story dwelling in the 1900 block of Chambers Street, about two blocks away.

Firefighters quickly deployed two attack lines and began knocking down the fire while another crew vented the roof.

The fire was knocked down in 10 minutes and crews remained on scene for another hour to perform overhaul.

Four engines, one truck and two chiefs responded.
