Photos: Texas Fourplex Damaged by Fire

Grand Prairie firefighters found fire in the walls surrounding a chimney.

A fire on Dec. 29 in the 2600 block Nina Circle in Grand Prairie, heavily damaged one unit of a two-story fourplex, displacing 10 people living in the unit.

The fire that broke out around 6:30 p.m. was contained to an exterior wall and wooden frame surrounding a chimney.

Firefighters were initially sent to the 2600 block of Santiago Circle to the fourplex that also has units on Nina Circle. Fire crews found heavy smoke upon their arrival to Santiago Circle and had to move operations to Nina Circle to attack the fire.

Battalion Chief Jeff Baldwin said the cause of the fire is under investigation and no one was injured.
