Strong winds pushed fire through a Fort Worth home, requiring crews to use a defensive attack.

Fort Worth firefighters were forced to go defensive after strong winds pushed fire through a home on Feb. 5.

Engine 15 found heavy smoke and fire coming from the 2,000-square-foot home with hoarder conditions in the 1800 block of Skyline Drive around 7 p.m.

As crews began attacking the fire, they encountered issues with water pressure and called for additional units.

They exited the structure sent used two aerials and several handlines to knock down the fire in about 90 minutes.

A total of six engines, two quints and several chief officers responded.
