Host Bob Duemmel talks with Montgomery County, MD, Fire Chief Richard Bowers, Elizabeth, NJ, Rescue 1 Firefighter Mike Donahue and retired FDNY Deputy Assistant Chief John Norman about the role of special operations and terrorism preparedness 10 years after Sept. 11.

The four veteran technical rescue responders discuss their department's involvement and preparedness before the terrorist attacks. They share how grant and other state and federal programs have helped bolster training and equipment response capabilities.  

Listen as the group discusses how they maintain the various training requirements for the various disciplines of technical rescue and terrorism response with daily duties and how they plan to maintain them, despite the economic impacts on departments from around the country.
