Near Misses -- Do We Care?

Aug. 2, 2005

On the latest edition of Through the Smoke, Billy Goldfeder examines the recently launched ?near-miss? reporting system created by the IAFC and available on the Web site www.firefighternearmiss.com. Guests are IAFC Project Manager Amy Noel Hultman and the man who made it come together, Battalion Chief John Tippett, Montgomery County (MD) Fire and Rescue Service. Goldfeder wants to know why anyone will take the time to report the dumb and reckless things they do ... and gets the answers.
