Join host Bob Duemmel as he talks with Battalion Chief Brian Kazmierzak about various close calls related to technical rescue operations. Kazmierzak is the training chief for the Penn Township Fire Dept. in Mishawaka, IN, and also serves as the co-chair of the Indiana Fire Chiefs Association Technical Rescue Team.
Kazmierzak has been involved several recent NIOSH LODD investigations related to the technical rescue field. He discusses the value of the acronym "FAILURE" and how it can be used to make both response and training scenarios safer.
