Dr. Gasway,
I've just finished listening to your podcast with Howard Cross and I can't tell you how impressed I am with this presentation and the philosophy of Mr. Cross. I have recently been promoted to the position of Assistant Fire Chief, after having served as a shift Captain for two years. I credit my advancement in large part to the fact that I have a lot of the same thoughts and theories as Mr. Cross. I've always felt that as a leader, one of our jobs is to train our replacements and that means teaching and instilling leadership skills. We are truly in the "people business", more often than we are in the fire business!
Thanks for this presentation. I look forward to more like it!
