Coatesville, PA (TheFireStore.com) November 16, 2011 – TheFireStore.com continues to bring the latest technological advances to firefighting professionals across the country. The HAIX Fire Hero Xtreme and Fire Hunter USA represent the incorporation of this technology in leather bunker boots certified to protect as they perform.

The HAIX FIRE HERO XTREME is a NFPA Dual Certified, 11" Leather Bunker Boot for both Structural and HazMat situations. The XTREME is a German engineered boot featuring HAIX most advanced technology.

The innovative protective toe cap is made of non-conductive carbon HX and meets the ASTM F2413-05 standard with less weight, more comfort than other boots. The HAIX Ankle Flex system combines flexible, padded, elastic components that make donning easy. The cushioned self-adjusting ankle and instep automatically provide optimum fit while ensuring high flexibility and preventing pressure points.

The uniquely designed rubber nitrile sole has a stable non-slipping sole edge for uneven terrain. The honeycomb tread pattern and yellow suction cups offer excellent traction on slick and wet surfaces. Ladder bar treads are in the joint areas for stability on ladder rungs. The sole is also oil and fuel resistant, non-chalky, self-cleaning, and high voltage resistant. Distinctive high visibility yellow chevrons on each side of the boots continue under the sole along the ladder arch, making your feet more visible when crawling. A special lip at the rear of the heel, not only provides additional shock protection, it becomes a boot jack for the toe of your other boot.

A white area at the back of the boot’s top acts as a nameplate that can be personalized with any permanent marker, for easy identification of your boots. Certified to NFPA 1971-2007, NFPA 1992-2005; CAN/CSA Z195-2009; and ASTM F2413-05 standards.

The HAIX FIRE HUNTER USA is an 11" Leather Bunker Boot that is built with advanced German engineered technology to keep you cooler, drier, more comfortable, and thoroughly protected—while protecting your wallet too.

This dual-certified NFPA Structural/HazMat boot meets NFPA 1971-2007, NFPA 1992-2005, ASTM F 2413-05 and CAN/CSA Z 195-2002 standards. This new, cost-conscious slip-on boot is engineered to provide safety at every step with the high traction, fire resistant Nitrile rubber shell sole that is oil and fuel resistant; and insulates against heat, cold, and high voltage. The Fire Hunter also incorporates a well-padded anatomically shaped protective steel toe cap. Get protection in every direction; and unsurpassed comfort and support through years of difficult service—all at an extremely competitive price.

The Fire Hero Xtreme and Fire Hunter USA share much of the same technology. HAIX Sun Reflect Leather reduces the heating effect of the upper leather. CROSSTECH Laminate Technology inside provides a dependable barrier against moisture, hazardous chemicals, and blood-borne pathogens. The HAIX Secura Liner will never pull out or wrinkle up with use over time. The durable, comfortable inner is firmly secured and permanently sealed beneath the sole, along with the upper leather. Micro Soft Light System features polyurethane foam injected into the sole to seal the liner and ensure long lasting shock absorption and insulation from temperature extremes. It works in concert with the HAIX Climate System that permits air circulation with every step – moist air is released and fresh air comes in through the vent holes at the top of the boot. The advanced HAIX Arch Support System features a shock-absorbing, insulating, polyurethane cushioning wedge for all-day comfort and support. A protective flexible midsole of stainless steel is cast into the sole, to meet ASTM F2413-05 and CAN/CSA Z195-2009 standard for personal protection.

Both boots include the HAIX Extended Wear Program: Out of warranty footwear can be refurbished with original factory parts through a resole package. This package includes any necessary replacement or repair of stitching, profiled rubber toe caps, soles, and insoles. They will also be cleaned and deodorized.
