Former Primedia VP and Executive Fire Officer John Linstrom has been named Chief Technical Officer (CTO) for Flame Management International, Inc.of Dallas, Texas. In an announcement made today, Flame Management CEO Jan Folmar said, "John brings over 30 years of firefighting knowledge, experience and passion to our Board and is a true expert in fire and emergency response. We look forward to John's contributions as we launch our clean, green line of universal extinguishing agents that improve firefighter safety and eliminate environmental impacts from toxic firefighting foams."
John is the former Vice President & General Manager of Primedia's Fire and Emergency Services Network and is the current Executive Director of The Linco Group, LLC an emergency services consultancy. A retired Assistant Fire Chief, John is a frequent contributor to Fire Chief Magazine, an active California Fire Service Instructor and adjunct faculty member for Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), Northwestern University's Center for Public Safety and several California Community Colleges. John is an active Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers and a National Fire Academy EFO Graduate.
