Long Beach, Calif. – April 27, 2012 – In partnership with the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC), the Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo is pleased to offer a series of free alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) training workshops, which will include the following hands-on sessions for Emergency and First Responder professionals:

  • ·         Clean Cities Learning Program: First Responder Safety”;
  • “Training on Biofuels, Gaseous Fuels, and Hydrogen”; and
  • Clean Cities Learning Program: First Responder Safety Training on EVs.”

These training courses will equip emergency and first responders with the knowledge they need to manage automotive accidents involving alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs), an increasingly relevant topic as AFV adoption rates increase.
The ACT Expo offers an incredible opportunity for the emergency and first responder community to acquire relevant safety training and to take part in the latest technological advancements surrounding the ever-expanding alternative fuel vehicle industry. When an accident involves an alternative fuel vehicle, emergency and first responders must achieve a balance between speed and caution.

ACT Expo, North America’s largest gathering of alternative fuel and clean vehicle technology stakeholders, will showcase the latest in vehicles, fuels, equipment, and technologies across a broad range of applications.
