February 20, 2013 - Simple Track, LLC announced today that it has released Tablet Command, a software app that allows incident commanders to use their iPad to manage fire incidents.

Simple Track is a startup software firm founded in 2012 by Andrew Bozzo and William Pigeon, two Bay Area firefighters who were shocked to find a lack of iPad apps designed for emergency services.

Computer aided incident management has been around for years but Bozzo and Pigeon couldn't find a system that didn't involve some sort of laptop or very expensive, proprietary equipment. They responded by building their own solution for iPad. The result is an app that could replace the tactical worksheet.

Tablet Command provides the same functions of a tactical worksheet but takes advantage of data creation, interconnection and touch screen capabilities of modern computers.

Tablet Command allows ICs to increase crew safety by recognizing crew fatigue or work-time status and confidently track elapsed time on the fireground.

The app takes advantage of the iPad's touch screen capabilities and allows incident commanders to drag and drop units to create assignments. Every move is time-stamped and the log of timestamps can be emailed directly out of the app.

ICs can email a time-stamped incident report to them selves or their superiors directly from the fireground.

Tablet Command works well for fires, hazardous materials emergencies, traffic incidents, or multi-casualty incidents. The software operates in real time but does not require constant Internet connectivity for core functionality.

Tablet Command will be presenting demonstrations of its app at the Firehouse World Expo in booth 2146.

Tablet Command is available for download on the iTunes App Store. One dollar from every app purchase made in 2013 will be donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
