Midwest Fire Hires Johnson as New Vice President

Darcie Johnson has been named vice president of accounting and business manager for Midwest Fire in Luverne.

LUVERNE, Minn JAN 21, 2014- Midwest Fire announced today that the company has hired Darcie Johnson as the new Vice President of Accounting and Business Manager and promoted Kelsey Theesfeld to Assistant Office Manager.

In her new role Johnson will be responsible for leading the company’s departments of accounting, human resources and IT processes. Johnson is a graduate of Colorado Technical University and has 15 years of accounting experience. Johnson has spent the last ten and a half years at Luverne Truck Equipment and has also served on the council and as treasurer for Beaver Valley Lutheran Church in Valley Spring, S.D.

 “We purchased the company in August of last year and are looking to grow to a new level,” said President and Chief Executive officer of Midwest Fire Sarah Atchison. “In order to do this we needed a person with strong accounting background and attention to detail and Johnson couldn’t have been a better fit.”

With the new promotion, Theesfeld’s becomes the lead production cost analyst, assists with marketing, payroll and licensing.  She graduated from Southeast Technical Institute with a degree in Business Administration, according to Theesfeld, “I’ve been with the company for almost two years now and I am honored to have been granted this promotion and opportunity to broaden my experience in the workforce as we work together to take the company to the next level.”

“Both these women have demonstrated their ability to go above and beyond in their field of work and a willingness to grow and that is exactly what we needed in order to accomplish our goals for 2014,” said Atchison.
