This award was created to recognize an individual who demonstrates a significant role in firefighter training through their commitment to best practices and operational effectiveness at their department. All IAFC members are eligible for the award, which will be announced at the VCOS annual meeting on Aug. 14 during Fire-Rescue International in Dallas.

Applications for the award are being accepted through June 30. The winner will receive round-trip airfare and a three-night hotel stay at FRI (Aug. 13-16), plus free registration to the conference.
Nominees should be chiefs, training officers, or others acquainted with training who demonstrates innovative methods for training.
