Looking to further your education but worried about the cost? For the sixth year, Columbia Southern University (CSU) is offering two scholarships to National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) members to help them achieve their educational goals.
Applications for the 2014 CSU scholarships are due September 15.
Two recipients will each receive a two-year scholarship to attend CSU, a premier online university offering an array of degree programs including fire science. To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, applicants must be a current member of the NVFC and have obtained a high school diploma or GED.
If you are not an NVFC member, join today at www.nvfc.org/membership to be eligible for this opportunity. Each scholarship covers 100 percent of tuition for up to two consecutive years towards any of CSU’s online degree programs.
CSU is a premier online university for distance learning, offering a wide range of accredited degree programs, open enrollment, and a flexible schedule designed to accommodate the busy life of a volunteer firefighter or EMT.
Students can choose from online associate, bachelor's, master's, or certificate programs in a variety of fields including fire science, business administration, criminal justice administration, human resource management, and more.
The open enrollment or term enrollment options help busy individuals balance career, family commitments, and fire service responsibilities while still working towards their degree.
