OPEN Incorporated, makers of the SafetyPAD Suite of software products, and Medicount Management, Inc., a Midwest company expert in providing EMS Billing services for more than 24 years, announced a licensing agreement.

Medicount will offer SafetyPAD's new Android electronic patient care reporting and EMS Billing systems together in a seamless, best-of-breed solution to agencies across the nation.

“This licensing agreement makes perfect sense for our collective clients that require industry leading products, but in a turnkey solution,” said Tim Newcomb, Medicount Vice President of Sales and Service. “We’re excited to offer agencies SafetyPAD's new Android platform as we feel it is a market changer. The positive impact of our systems working together ‘out of the box’ will be significant for Fire and EMS departments.”

SafetyPAD is deployed at numerous high-performance Fire and EMS services, including the largest providers in six of the 15 top U.S. metro areas. With mobile, Android and enterprise-level offerings, the platform has the capacity to operate in a wide range of environments that empowers agencies to focus on the patient, not the paperwork. “We have seen a tremendous interest in our new Android product and Medicount saw the advantages immediately. SafetyPAD's strategy to license our product to key business partners will help expand our market presence and expand business partners product offerings to include ePCR. The company is committed to continuous innovation, a trait that both companies share,” said OPEN Incorporated’s Chief Operating Officer Scott Streicher. “They also have a stellar reputation for customer service and we’re excited for how well we can take care of Fire and EMS departments across the country.”
