KME is pleased to announce that the City of Richmond and its Fire and Emergency Services have awarded KME and Goodman Specialized Vehicles an order for four custom pumpers. The award is part of a five-year contract with options for future purchases.
As the capital of Virginia, Richmond’s Fire Department is tasked with protecting approximately 200,000 residences and over 400,000 workers and visitors each day. The department responds to over 30,000 calls for service each year.
The custom pumpers will be built on 96-inch KME Severe Service chassis with cab occupant protection systems. Also included is a Waterous 1,500 gpm pump, 500-gallon water tank and a five-year bumper to bumper warranty.
