KME is pleased to announce that the Orange County Fire Authority has awarded KME an order for four 101-foot tractor drawn Aerials and four custom pumpers to join dozens of KME’s already in service.
The TDA tractors will be KME Severe Service cabs with a 10-inch raised roof, and Cummins ISX-15 550 hp engine. The aerials include a 1,500 gpm pump, 300-gallon water tank, and a 101-foot ladder with waterway. These tandem axle units have an equipment capacity of double the NFPA requirement for an aerial ladder.
The pumpers also include a Severe Service cab, Cummins ISX-12 450 hp engine, 1,500 gpm pump, 500-gallon water tanks with 10-gallon gallon foam tanks, and galvanneal steel fire body with customized shelving and compartmentation.
The Orange County Fire Authority is a regional fire service agency that serves 23 cities in Orange County California and all unincorporated areas. The OCFA protects over 1,680,000 residents from its 71 fire stations located throughout Orange County.
