Darley Pumper

Oct. 6, 2011

The Township Volunteer Fire Department in Eau Claire, WI, recently took delivery of a Darley pumper constructed on a Spartan Metro Star LFD custom chassis with a 330-hp Cummins ISC engine coupled to an Allison 3000EVS transmission. The PolyBilt body is constructed fully from copolymer plastic material guaranteed for life to be 100% corrosion free. The apparatus has seven compartments, all with ROM rollup doors and LED strip lighting. The pumping system features a 1,500-gpm Darley LDMBC pump connected to a 1,000-gallon water tank with an integral 30-gallon foam tank. This truck also features a color-coded Darley Vision laminate wrap-around top operator’s control panel and a Darley AutoCAFS compressed-air foam system that uses a FoamPro 2001 foam system to provide Class A foam to the six CAFS-capable discharges.
