Pasadena Fire Services Signs up for OneStep Fire Inspections

July 22, 2013

Pasadena California Fire Department, home to multiple high tech companies, has chosen OneStep Desktop II to manage their fire prevention inspections and hazmat reporting.

The fire inspection data collected on OneStep Mobile enabled devices will be hosted in OneStep’s revolutionary Cloud services, significantly reducing Pasadena Fires technical overhead costs.

Fire Inspection data will be collected by laptops in the field utilizing OneStep Mobile which will then Auto-Synchronize with the main database located in OneStep’s Enterprise Class Cloud Services providing full redundancy and security.

We are pleased to see Pasadena Fire has chosen OneStep Systems to be their entrusted Fire Inspection software provider of choice.
OneStep’s software integration ability with the CERS system is definitely something that all California Departments can benefit from and help them be compliant with the California Environmental Protection Agencies (CAL-EPA) mandated reporting system.

CERS Integration:

Pasadena’s Fire Department reports its hazmat inspections to the California Environmental Reporting Service (CERS) and OneStep will manage the data exchange.  The entire process will be fully seamlessly digitized. The hazmat site information is entered into the CERS system, which will then auto-synchronize with OneStep Desktop II in OneStep Cloud.

The inspector will then synchronize their OneStep Mobile device and is able to complete the hazmat inspection. The information regarding the facility is then reported with the approval report synchronizing back through OneStep Desktop II to CERS making the department compliant with state mandate.

About California Environmental Reporting Service - CERS

The California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) is a statewide web-based system to support California Unified Program Agencies (CUPAs) and Participating Agencies (PAs) in electronically collecting and reporting various hazardous materials-related data as mandated by the California Health and Safety Code and new 2008 legislation (AB 2286). Under oversight by Cal/EPA, CUPAs implement Unified Program mandates that streamline and provide consistent regulatory activities.
