Xtend Strut

Dec. 6, 2013

The XTEND is a refinement of the current strut.  The anchor clevis is moved lower on the body at the base attachment. When tensioning with the ratchet and strap, The base will not lift and the downward force remains unchanged.

The larger clevis opening will now make attaching 2 ratchet devices much easier.  It will also allow the pass-through of the snap hook and strap for triangulation or double-back purposes.  The lower clevis will now keep the strap(s) at ground level thus being less of a trip or snag hazard.

By lowering the clevis and eliminating the bolt through the upper part of the strut body, this allowed us to increase the length of the inner tube on both the Nightmare and G-Force models.  Additional hole(s) for an added 5 to 6 inches of increased travel on both the G-Force and Nightmare struts

The XTEND changes are slight, but they add more to the reach and diversity of the JunkYard Dog Rescue Strut system
