Grand Junction Fire Department proudly protects 76000 people living in an area of 90 square miles. We operate out of 4 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status.
The Grand Junction Fire Department (GJFD)is a full service organization that continually strives to anticipate and meet the needs of the public it serves. The Department provides a wide variety of education, enforcement, and emergency services to residents of the City of Grand Junciton and a surrounding fire protection district. Being one of the largest paid departments between Denver and Salt Lake City, and the relative isolation of Western Colorado, the GJFD is a virtually self-sufficient organization providing a wide variety of services.
