San Diego firefighters rescued a man who became stranded on a cliff at La Jolla Cove over the weekend.
Crews responded to a call just before 7 a.m. Saturday about a man who was stuck about 35 to 40 feet down the cliff, Battalion Chief Lane Woolery said. Using a rope and harness system, firefighters were able to safely pull the individual back to the top in less than an hour.
The man was uninjured, and authorities didn't know how he became stranded, Woolery said.
