Two men were trapped and injured after a shed's roof fell on them, and they needed Brockton crews to pull them out from under the wreckage.

BROCKTON, MA—Two men were injured late Friday afternoon when a shed they were in collapsed on top of them.

Police and firefighters responded to a report of a roof collapse at 141 Forest St. about 4:25 p.m. Police say they received the call at 4:21 p.m.

"Brockton, be advised it's a shed, not the house, a shed," the first officer on scene relayed to dispatch over his radio. "Might be a person under the debris."

Police learned there were two people – both men – underneath the structure, which completely collapsed, including the roof and walls.

"Two males were trapped," said police spokesman Darren Duarte. "Brockton fire extricated them."

One of the victims was removed at 4:34 p.m. and the other at 4:40 p.m., according to Brockton Fire Department radio communications.

One victim was taken by Brewster Ambulance to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton and another by separate ambulance to Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. Their conditions weren't immediately known early Friday evening.

The incident remains under investigation, including what caused the collapse.
