Jul. 20--Five people were killed late Saturday morning near Victoria in a three-vehicle crash that also sent at least seven people to the hospital, according to multiple reports.
The crash on U.S. 59 South involved an 18-wheeler, passenger van and pickup truck, the Victoria Advocate reported.
Ten people were riding in the van, while the truck was carrying two people, the paper reported. Only the driver of the 18-wheeler escaped without injuries.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash.
Authorities from the Victoria fire department and sheriff's office responded to the scene, along with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
