FL Firefighters Free Critically Hurt Driver from Car

The jaws of life were used by Tampa crews to rescue a driver following an accident between a car and a box truck early Wednesday.

Florida firefighters had to cut a critically injured driver from his car following a crash early Wednesday.

The accident happened at about 4 a.m. involving a car and box truck at an intersection in Tampa's Jackson Heights neighborhood, WFLA-TV reports. It took firefighters about 45 minutes to use the jaws of life to free the driver, who was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
