Three firefighters were hurt battling a fire in an historic church in Cheswold early on New Year’s Eve.

According to the Delaware News Journal, the fire was reported at the one-story Little Union Church on West Denneys Road. When firefighters arrived on the scene, fire was shooting from several windows. A wall collapsed shortly after firefighters put the fire out, according to the report.
