Aug. 30--A fire was reported at Loafers Sports Bar and Grill in Catonsville around 4 p.m. Friday.
Baltimore County officials said heavy black smoke was seen coming from the building with fire showing. The building, on Route 40, was evacuated, officials said online.
Around 4:14 p.m., fire officials said the fire was through the roof and they were calling a second alarm for more support. Command called for third alarm support around 4:55 p.m.
One firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion, officials said.
One witness said she could see the smoke coming from half a mile away. Representatives for the business could not immediately be reached for comment Saturday.
