Video: Out-of-Control Trailer Crashes into OK Firefighters

Sept. 4, 2019
Dramatic dashboard camera footage captured a U-Haul trailer skidding on a slick highway and hitting two Stringtown firefighters, who miraculously survived the crash.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol released graphic dashboard camera footage Tuesday of an out-of-control trailer that crashed into two firefighters on the side of the road.

The crash was captured by the Stringtown police chief's dashboard camera. In the video, two Stringtown firefighters are standing in the grassy area next to a highway when an SUV pulling a U-Haul trailer loses control on the slick roadway and careens into the two men.

According to the highway patrol, the accident happened a few weeks ago, and the firefighters survived the incident. In fact, both men only suffered bruises from the crash—"no broken bones," the highway patrol stated in a Facebook post.

"This is a graphic reminder to SLOW DOWN —especially when roads are slick and you see flashing lights," the highway patrol added.
