Boston Firefighter Sustains Minor Injuries at Fire

Dec. 25, 2019
Four people were displaced by the late-night fire in East Boston.

A firefighter suffered minor injuries while responding to a blaze at a three-family attached residence in East Boston Monday night, according to the Boston Fire Department.

Damage to two of the homes drove out four residents just two days before Christmas, but no injuries aside from the firefighter were reported.

Boston Fire said they responded to Princeton Street around 11:25 p.m. to find fire rising from the basement up to the top floor, but reported after midnight that the flames had been knocked down. Officials estimate that the fire caused $100,000 in damage.

“All occupants were safely evacuated. Major overhauling being done, all companies are working,” the department tweeted.

The Boston Sparks Association were also on the scene to offer rehabilitation, according to the department.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
