Fire Station in Cahokia Heights, IL, Hit by Gunfire Three Times

March 12, 2024
Two men charged with firing at targets have not been linked to damage at Camp Jackson Fire Department.

The Camp Jackson Fire Department has been hit by gunfire at least three times in the past few months.

Although deputies arrested Brandon Thomas and Jamarion Taylor for possessing firearms and firing them on March 2 near the fire station, KMOV reported they haven't been tied to the gunfire damage.

The men were shooting at targets about a block away from the station, deputies determined.

The fire chief was one of dozens who've called police to report the rapid gunfire.

Fire officials from the volunteer department say they don't have funds to keep reparing windows.
