  • The Memphis, TN Fire Department now features a bariatric ambulance in its apparatus fleet. Designed to accommodate patients who weigh up to 1,600 pounds, the retrofitted reserve ambulance is equipped with a specialized cot and a patient-loading system with winches and ramps.
