Calif. Firefighter Enters Blaze to Close Gas Valve

MODESTO, Calif. -- Modesto fire crews were called to an alley between 9th and 10th streets just after 1 a.m. Tuesday, where one firefighter had to walk into the flames to shut off a gas valve, officials said.
