Boston fire officials say flames may have been burning undetected for some time before construction workers at a nearly finished apartment block in Dorchester called 911 on Wednesday afternoon. Firefighters worked through the night to contain the blaze at a building that was finishing up construction before tenants were to move in a few weeks from now.
