Virginia State Police have launched an investigation into members of the Strasburg Volunteeer Fire Department over allegations that five members took part in the gang rape of an underage girl.
An investigator stated in an affidavit for search warrants that the alleged victim's mother provided screen shots and text messages to authorities which indicated the 17-year-old girl was "highly intoxicated" and was "intimidated by all the suspects."
None of the names of the five suspects have been released because no charges have been filed.
