LSU Fire & Emergency Training Institute Gets CAFS Pumper

Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, has received a new compressed air foam system pumper built by Ferrara.

Louisiana State University Fire & Emergency Training Institute, in Baton Rouge,  has received a new compressed air foam system pumper built by Ferrara Fire Apparatus. Built on a Ferrara Igniter cab and chassis, it is powered by a Cummins 425-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale 1,500 gpm pump, a 750-gallon tank with a 20-gallon integrated foam cell and a FoamPro 2002 compressed air foam system. Other features include Robinson roll-up doors, roof top storage compartments, OnScene Solutions LED pump panel and compartment lights, Whelen M Series LED Warning lights, Whelen Pioneer brow and recessed lights, a Harrison 10,000-watt hydraulic generator, and Hannay electric rewind cord reels.
