Blue Ridge, PA, Hook & Ladder Fire Co., Gets Custom 4x4 Pumper
Blue Ridge, PA, Hook & Ladder Fire Co., has taken delivery of a custom all-wheel drive pumper built by KME Fire Apparatus. The unit is built on a KME Predator 100-inch 4x4 4-door XLFD cab and chassis with a 22-inch raised roof. It also has external EMS cab storage with a hinged door and an internal access door. It also has a Norcold refrigerator located at the rear of the engine enclosure. It's also equipped with an interior cab storage compartment, a 20-inch front bumper extension with a Warn Series 12 A-1 12,000-pound electric winch and storage well. It is powered by a Cummins ISX 500-hp Allison 4000EVS transmission. To fight fire it has a Hale QMAX 200 2,000-gpm single-stage pump, A 750-gallon water tank with a 30-gallon foam cell and FoamPro foam injection system. It also has a TFT electric deck gun, a 163-inch flushback body constructed of 3/16-inch aluminum. It's equipped with R.O.M. roll-up doors, Fire Research scene lights, Whelen light package Firecom digital intercom system, Akron Bass, a Will-Burt vertical light tower, and a Ziamatic/Zico single-arm ladder storage rack.
