Salt Spring Island Fire Department in Salt Spring, BC, Canada has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side control tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner M2 106 chassis with a Cummins ISL-350 Engine and an Allison 3000 EVS Transmission. Unit has a 3,000-gallon APR Polypropylene tank and aHale MBP 1,000 PTO pump. It is also equipped with Newton 10-inch dump valves, a Zico electric portable tank carrier, and Whelen warning and scene lights.
