The Northwood, OH, Fire Department has taken delivery of a Pierce Impel PUC engine.

The Northwood, OH, Fire Department has taken delivery of a Pierce Impel PUC engine, sold by Finley Fire Equipment Company. Engine 83 boasts a 1,508 gpm pump with a 750-gallon water tank and a 30-gallon foam cell. It has a Husky 3 foam system and a top mounted TFT wireless remote Hurricane monitor. The lighting includes Whelen warning and scene LED lights and a Will-Burt LED telescoping light tower. A SmartPower 6,000-watt generator provides AC power.  It seats six personnel and will carry a Genesis eFORCE 2.0 cordless extrication tool set, a 28 volt Milwaukee cordless tool set, an electric PPV fan, 1,000 feet of 5-inch LDH, two 200-foot 1.5-inch crosslays, a 200-foot 2.5-inch crosslay, and a 200-foot 2.5-inch rear preconnect with a Blitzfire nozzle. The pumper is powered by a Cummins ISL 9 engine and an Allison transmission.
