Lake Dillon, CO, Fire-Rescue Puts Type 3 Wildland Apparatus in Service

Lake Dillion Fire-Rescue, Summit Fire & EMS, Summit County, CO, have taken delivery of a Type 3 Wildland apparatus built by SVI Trucks.

Lake Dillion Fire-Rescue, Summit Fire & EMS, Summit County, CO, have taken delivery of a Type 3 Wildland apparatus built by SVI Trucks on a Freightliner cab and chassis. It's powered by a Cummins L9 380 hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Darley auxiliary diesel-powered pump with a minimum capacity of 160 gpm. It also has a Hale MBP single-stage 750-gpm pump, a FoamPro system, a Fire Research Corp. Pump Boss pump control, a 500-gallon UPF Poly III tank with a 20-gallon foam cell. All pumping equipment was designed to meet high-altitude pressure requirements found in Colorado. Other equipment includes Whelen warning and scene lights, David Clark intercom system, Zico SCBA brackets, a Kussmaul battery conditioner system, Seats Inc. 911 cab seats, OnScene LED cabinet lights, ROM roll-up doors, a TFT monitor and a Hannay hose reel.
