Tarkio, MO, Rural Fire Dept. Gets Flatbed Brush Truck

The Tarkio, MO,  Rural Fire Department has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire brush truck built on a Ford F-550 SuperCab diesel chassis with a 6.7 L 4V OHV Power Stroke V8 turbo diesel B20 engine and a TorqShift 6-Speed automatic transmission. To fight fire, it has an 400-gallon UPF polypropylene tank, with a 12-gallon tank and a Darley 2BE 21-hp portable pump. Other features include a Whelen LED warning light and siren package, Whelen scene lights, a Warn 9,500-pound winch and Continental MPT181 Super Single tires.
