North Hudson, NJ, Regional Fire & Rescue has taken delivery of a 2019 Pierce Enforcer quint.

North Hudson, NJ, Regional Fire & Rescue has taken delivery of a 2019 Pierce Enforcer quint, replacing a 2008 Pierce pumper equipped with a 61-foot Skyboom. The new, single-axle quint has a 1,500-gpm pump, 300-gallon water tank and 100-foot, rear-mounted aerial ladder. It is powered by a Detroit Diesel 13 model engine and Allison 4000EVS transmission. It has seating for five, two cross lay hose beds, adjustable shelves and slide-out tool trays, rub rails and a 6,000-watt generator. It has ground ladders and pike poles that are stored in a torque compartment. North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue department protects about 220,000 residents opposite midtown Manhattan. In 1999  the municipalities of Union City, North Bergen, West New York, Weehawken and Guttenberg merged their departments to form one new department, North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue. The waterfront of this area has been booming with residential and commercial construction, plus ferry and light rail traffic.
