Heron Lake, MN, Fire Department has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side-control tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner M2 106 chassis.

Heron Lake, MN, Fire Department has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side-control tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner M2 106 chassis. It is powered by a Cummins ISL 350-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a 3,000-gallon ARP polypropylene tank and a Hale 1,250-gpm QFlo split-shaft pump. It is also equipped with a four-inch direct tank fill and tank level gauge, a stainless steel 10-inch swivel dump valve with a 36-inch telescoping chute, and Whelen scene and warning lights.
