Two Carstairs firefighters were among the six people hurt in two separate accidents involving multiple vehicles north of Calgary.

Two Canadian firefighters were hurt Monday when their apparatus was hit while they were responding to a previous crash. Video of the second collision was captured by a dashboard camera from a tow truck driving to the scene.

The first accident happened in the southbound lanes of Highway 2, east of Carstairs, which is about 30 miles north of Calgary in Alberta, Global News reports. Carstairs Fire Department crews were responding to the incident when an SUV slammed into the department's 2012 Ford F-150 from behind.

Two volunteer firefighters suffered minor injuries in the accident. One of the firefighters was in the vehicle when it was hit, but officials told Global News were unsure how the other firefighter was hurt.

Along with the firefighters, three other people were taken to Didsbury Hospital for their injuries, and the tow truck driver went to Airdrie Urgent Care Centre. In January, a Didsbury Fire Department apparatus was hit by another vehicle just north of the most recent crash, according to Global News.
