Lightning Sparks Houston Warehouse Fire
HOUSTON --
Lightning started a fire at a southwest Houston warehouse owned by the city, KPRC Local 2 reported Monday.
The fire broke out at the warehouse on Cullen Boulevard near Dreyfus Street early Sunday.
About 50 firefighters spent hours battling the flames. They had to get through several locks and gates before they could even get to the fire.
The city's Health and Human Services Department used the warehouse to store custodial supplies, new computers and monitors and a variety of household items.
No injuries were reported.
