Three Killed in Maryland House Fire

The victims were located on the first floor of the house.

Salisbury, MD --

Deputy state fire marshal's are investigating the cause of an early-morning fire that claimed the lives of three individuals on Sunday. Officials were called to the scene at 514 Washington St. around 3:34 a.m.

Police officers arriving on scene quickly rescued the adult, female and child from the home. Firefighters then rescued the adult male. All three victims were reported to have been located on the first floor of the one and one half story wood framed single family home. The victims were transported to Salisbury General Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

The identification of the three victims is pending notification of the next of kin. The Office of the Medical Examiner, Baltimore, will conduct an investigation into the cause of death.

Damages to the home are estimated to exceed $200,000.
