The borough of Arendtsville in Adams County is making a big red donation to hurricane victims.

The borough is donating a pumper truck to Plaquemines Parish in southeast Louisiana. It will be filled with firefighting equipment such as hoses, airpacks and axes.

"Of their nine fire companies they had in the parish, six of them were totally lost and the other three don't have equipment for the trucks," said volunteer firefighter Loy Hoke.

The firetruck is due to head south in the next couple of weeks.
